The Idol Of Wealth

Luke 12:13-21 – The Parable of the Rich Fool 13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” 14 Jesus replied, “Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” 15 Then he said to them, “Watch out! Facing Opposition

David is now Saul’s son-in-law, but that does not make him immune from the maddening paranoia of the king. Saul begins to relentlessly pursue David, longing to take him out. Pastor Ben helps us see how God protects His anointed, and a truth that empowers us to stand in this world.

The God Who Sees the Heart

Saul has been rejected as King and Samuel is grieving the failures of his reign and the state of the nation. But God calls him out of his grief to see that while Saul has failed, He has not abandoned His people. God sends Samuel to anoint a King of His choosing, and as Samuel seeks this King, we will see something stunning about how our God works.

As Saul takes the reins of the nation they are once again threatened by their Philistine enemies. The new King Saul must lead the nation against this foe. But in his desire to assert his leadership he forgets the one thing that matters. Pastor Ben helps us see the need to wait on God. NB: There is no video for this sermon, only audio

Pastor Ben introduces us to the man who would become king and helps us grapple with what God was revealing to His people.

Samuel’s Leadership

The nation has suffered painfully under the corrupt leadership of Eli’s household. But God has raised up Samuel, the answer to a broken lady’s prayers, to lead the nation. Pastor Ben helps us find hope in the new thing God was doing amongst His people.

The Great Commission

In this last scene before Jesus ascends to be with his Father in Heaven, he makes the remarkable claim that he has all authority over all things but he also leaves his disciples with the promise of his presence as they go out on mission to make disciples. Tune in this week as Pastor Ben helps us to understand the significance of…

Jesus on Trial

Left on His own, Jesus is now thrust on trial before the ruling authorities and examined by the Roman Governor. But as He stands innocent, it will be everyone else whose guilt is truly revealed. Pastor Ben unpacks the injustice of Jesus’ trial.
