Robust Faith

Pharaoh has set himself up in opposition to God. The people are suffering under his heavy yoke of slavery and barbaric genocide. In the midst of this terrible situation, one family will demonstrate their faith in God and it leads to the one who would be their saviour. Pastor Joe examines new categories for us to understand our faith in light of how the characters in this story engage with their world.

In Defiance of God

In this epic opening chapter, Exodus shows us the main players in a battle that will rage for most of the book. It begins with a weigh-in between two contestants: Pharaoh, King of Egypt, and Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews. As the chapter unfolds, Pastor Joe will show us what it looks like when someone defies the living God.
