Church Life

Bible Study

There are bible studies in various locations around the church.  These are great places to get to know other people from the church and to dive deep into God’s truth.  We encourage all people regardless of age or background to come along and share in these communities and support one another through the trials and struggles of life.  Feel free to contact the church to find out more.

Preaching

Exodus is one of the formational narratives of the people of Israel.  It picks up the story in Egypt, generations after Joseph, when the Israelites had increased to a population size that threatened Pharaoh, driving him to enslave them.  And it depicts the provision of Moses to be their deliverer, their powerful redemption by the hand of God, their formation as a nation through the covenant God made with them at Mt Sinai, and the establishment of their laws and…

Children

Children are vital members of our Sunday services!  We love to have the children involved in our family worship from week to week and actively look for ways to include and engage them.  We believe that parents are the primary shepherds of their children and so our program is geared to aid families as they seek to raise their children in the gospel. During the Sunday sermon, we set aside a time for under 10s to dive deeper into the…

Youth

Youth Group happens every Friday of school term and caters for Grade 6-12. We have a blast each week playing crazy games, attempting new challenges and going on various outings around the town. Most weeks we learn something new about Jesus and we try to have real conversations about life and faith. Our team of leaders care deeply for the youth and take a genuine interest in their lives.

Community Dinners

Every month we put on a community dinner on the front lawn of the church to welcome our local community. The idea is simple. Because of how busy life is, we don’t spend enough time in community.  Yet, there is so much joy to be found in sharing life together.  These dinners are designed to give our local area a chance to slow down, relax, and enjoy getting to know neighbours, friends, and others from the community.  We provide the…

Sunday Mornings

Every Sunday Morning we gather together to celebrate the goodness of our God in song, hear the Bible taught to us, love and care for one another, rejoice with one another, weep with one another, and remind one another of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our Sunday services are a place where anyone can come to find out what a life of following Jesus looks like, so all are welcome to come and share with us.  We meet from 9:30am…

Membership

The New Testament makes it pretty clear that all those who trust in Jesus are part of His Church! This means that the church is made up of all believers in Jesus, from every part of the world, throughout all time – a stunningly big community! However, it is impossible for all these people to gather in one place and one time here on earth. So, this glorious community expresses itself through local congregations all over the world. Groups of…

Rosalie Village Life

We reckon Rosalie Baptist is located in Brisbane’s best suburb.  Tree-lined streets and a warm, friendly village atmosphere typify the Paddington/Rosalie community.  It doesn’t take long to realise you are in a special part of our city with iconic Brisbane landmarks just about everywhere you look. Government House is just up the road and we are not far from Caxton Street, the famous brewery and the Lang Park precinct; home of NRL, Rugby Union, A-League and huge stadium concerts. The…

Why Church?

To some people the word church conjures up images of mighty cathedrals in historic locations or maybe quaint country chapels.  Others might think of Popes and Cardinals dressed in opulent robes presiding over religious rituals in Latin.  Still others might think of the mega churches with huge stadium-like auditoriums and booming music.  The reality is that regardless of what you think about church for many people in our society it has become increasingly irrelevant. But I fear that people have…
